Section 3: Two-Player Games
If you press the Two-player button, your device will search for other nearby devices to connect with via Bluetooth. (The range is approximately 10 feet.)
Be patient here; it is normal to see a message that says the other device is unavailable. But if this persists longer than ~10 seconds, you may need to cancel the search and try pressing the Two-player button again.

Connecting
Once one device accepts the connection from the other, three new buttons will be added to the main screen: a button to disconnect and return to one-player mode, and two buttons to configure the type of two-player game:

Main Screen for Two-Player Games
There are two types of two-player game: Cooperative and "Head-to-Head" (competitive). In Head-to-Head games, both players get the same tiles simultaneously and compete to see who can achieve the highest score. In Cooperative games, players play on the same sized board and work together in an attempt to achieve the highest combined score between their two boards.
Either player can select the options s/he prefers and press Play, which will cause the Play buttons on both devices to "wobble". If the settings are agreeable, the other player presses the wobbling play button and the game begins. If the other player wishes to change to a setting, they may still do so, which will cause the Play buttons to stop wobbling. Thus, negotiation of game configurations can happen silently via the devices, and only when both players agree and press the wobbling Play buttons will the game begin.
In Head-to-Head games both players do not have to play on the same size board. This is a good way to "handicap" games; if one player is clearly better than the other (or thinks they are!), they can play on a smaller board. When negotiating the game settings for a Head-to-Head game, your opponent’s board size will be marked with a small orange "rivet".
In any two-player game, tiles can be "flipped" from one player’s board to the other. This is done by first tapping the tile you wish to flip and then slightly jerking the devide upwards (away from the ground). The tile will then fly off of your board and land on the other board in a random spot. If there are no open spots, it will bounce back to you! In Head-to-Head games, you may only flip two (2) tiles to your opponent’s board, and only in the first phase of the game, so you have to be strategic about it! (In Cooperative games, there are no restrictions on flipping tiles.)
Both players must agree to Pause or Resume a two-player game. If one player wishes to pause, they press the Pause button and it will begin wobbling for both players. If the other player agrees to the pause, they may hit their wobbling Pause button to confirm. Resuming paused games is synchronized in a similar fashion.
